Dorotheenstädtischer Friedhof
"through Death to Life"
Friedhof = Graveyard. This one was really cool. Bertolt Brecht is buried here and I just found really cool headstones that I liked.
Tuesday I had school and then I interviewed a man for my project and then went to the church for a dinner with the BYU group and then interviewed the Bishop from that ward for my project and then ... went home. kinda boring. oh except michael came with me to the interview and i felt like a missionary again, only this time with an elder companion it was weird. and I kept having to suppress the urge to ask the man if we could end with a prayer. (i am interviewing people who lived in Berlin when the wall fell ...it's actually really cool)

if you're American in the kitchen what are you if you're outside?
EUR - A - PEEIN' ! (get it?)
it was in the garden of this schloss that I became a real european. you see public restrooms are very hard to come by in a lot of places in Europe, and when you do find them they cost money. On this particular afternoon I had to use the restroom, but sadly could not find one. It got to the point where I would have payed five euro to go ... as time went on a simply could not take the pressure on my bladder anymore and resorted to doing something i have only done while camping. i peed outside. TMI? i apologize, but can I just tell you that was the best decision i have ever made in my life. and it's not like i've never seen fifty billion german dudes peeing whenever and wherever they want to!!!! DON'T JUDGE ME! (it's a good thing I had a skirt on)
nobody could see me - stop freaking out.

this is michael (with scratches all up his arm) michael tried to climb a tree with a running start ... but ended up just running smack into it. bhahaha oh how i wish i had it on video. silly silly michael.

I don't think i've ever heard so much talent in one room at one time in my whole life. it made me feel ... less of a person some how. i shouldn't be alive. ha ha ha just kidding.

As you may know, it's the world cup. You may also know that Germany is crazy about Fußball. CRAZY i tell you. I'm just happy i get to be a part of it ...
too bad Germany lost.
I was also able to get 5 interviews done (for my research project), and I have two more lined up. I've wrote six papers today ... about 8 more to go, and I have three things left on my checklist of things to see in Berlin. As of wednesday morning i am no longer in Berlin! In my next post look forward to pictures of SCOTLAND AND IRELAND! ha ha ha suckas .... wish you were here ;)

What is Glee, I don't get the American in the kitchen peeing outside joke, you look reallllly pretty, and you'll probably meet lots of Siobhans in Ireland don't be confused, they're not me.
ReplyDelete1. it's a tv show about high school glee clud (nerdy show choir kids) i resisted for a long tim.e not sure why ... probably the same reason i resisted Harry Potter (still resisting twilight and probably won't even give into that one) it's not nearly as funny as arrested development or the office ... it's kind of hard to compare it to those - but it's fun to watch.
ReplyDelete2. european men just pee outside all the time. i see one at least everyday
3.i will be sad when i meet siobhan's that aren't you. :( you're the only siobhan for me!
and by clud i mean club
