one time when i was in high school i was being a snot to my mom. my dad came upstairs after she and i gotten in a really big fight and said:
'keri ... who's your best friend.'
'siobhan'
'how do you feel when people are mean to her?'
'i don't like it ...' i knew at this point where he was going with this, but it was too late to get out of it.
'i don't like it when people don't treat my best friend right either ...'
i have never forgotten that. after 39 years my parents are still best friends. i just hope can be as happy as they are when i've been married that long.

ReplyDeleteI loooooved this!!!! I'm glad that after 13 years we are still best friends. It made me happy when Mr. Holloway found us because he saw that we're still bff even so long after high school!
