this past week i had the opportunity of a life time. my coach, rory flack, was out of town so she had one of her friends come for the week to work with all of her students. don't worry that it was surya bonaly. nine-time french national figure skating champion, five-time european figure skating champion, three time silver medalist in the world figure skating championships and the only person in the world, male or female, who can do this [back flip triple sal]

back flip landed on one foot into a triple salchow. the woman is a powerhouse. pure muscle, i swear. and i got to have two lessons with her this week. first of all let me just say that my coach is amazing, so to be able to work with a coach like her is sweet. but then she brings all of her friends to our rink so we get to work with other awesome professional skaters too. it's funny because back when i was actually a competitive skater i didn't get training like this.
