a year ago i competed in minnesota at the 2010 U.S adult championships ... and i sucked. [to be fair i had only been back on the ice for five months after a seven year break] after i skated last year i promised myself and my coach that this year i was going to train, for real.

and that's exactly what i did.

i had the opportunity to redeem myself this year in salt lake. i was determined to skate a clean program [without falling] and not die of exhaustion. so i did it, i trained like crazy and it got me first place - two times. ZWEI MAL. once out of 6 skaters and once out of 12. BOO YA GRAMDMA!
i did not expect that.

saturday: intermediate-novice championship

so i sent a text to my dad with a picture of my new dress last week and a caption that said 'my new dress, wish you could see me skate.' the next thing i know i get a phone call from him telling me he bought my mom a plane ticket to utah. :) i love my parents.

... and no, i can't do a triple lutz. and i won't be going to the olympics.
