two of my favorite things in the world are the german language and figure skating. so imagine my excitement when when i had the opportunity to train with austrian figure skater ralph burghart last week. this guy won the austrian figure skating championships seven times in a row. he has competed in world championships and the olympics. and and and ... he speaks german. g e r m a n. deutsch! :) eiskunstlaufen + deutsch = nichts besseres

basically my coach rory has the hook-up because she gets all her professional ice-skater friends and colleges, or in this case, professional ice-skater ex-husband, to come help us.

i'm pretty sure God got me into figure skating as a child because he knew that one day it would save my soul. you see provo and i, we have a love/hate relationship. i feel very blessed to go to BYU. i think it's a great university, but sometimes i struggle to be here, which is why i am so grateful for an outlet like skating.
